100 years of ISOTYPE – Vienna celebrates with three exhibitions

The opening of the Society and Economy Museum in 1925 and the 80th anniversary of the death of its founder Otto Neurath are the occasion for three exhibitions in Vienna:

Was wäre Wien? / What would Vienna be?

1925–2025. The 100 year anniversary exhibition of the Society and Economy Museum. Society & Economy is an artistic–curatorial project that reinterprets the modular museum display model of the Gesellschafts- und Wirtschaftsmuseum (Social and Economic Museum), located between 1927 and 1934 in the Vienna City Hall. This “workers’ museum” emerged from the lifelong dedication of the multifaceted, left-wing, utopian thinker Otto Neurath (1882–1945).
