In 2011, the International Institute for Information Design was celebrating its 25th anniversary, and the time seemed right for us to acknowledge the best in what information design has to offer worldwide. This was the beginning of the IIID Award scheme.
Held every three years, the most recent competition took place in 2023. While much has changed in our world since 1986, the aim of the IIID remains the same: to promote and expand information design knowledge and research.
